Love That Restores, Rebuilds, and Repositions You

Beloved, yesterday the world celebrated Valentine’s Day.

Cards were exchanged. Flowers were given. Messages were sent.
And for some, it was joyful.
For others, it was quiet.
And for many, it stirred emotions they didn’t quite have words for.
Because Valentine’s Day has a way of reminding us of what love should feel like—and sometimes what love hasn’t felt like.
But today, I want to move us beyond a calendar moment and into a Kingdom understanding.
Because love is not owned by a holiday.
Love is not defined by romance.
And love is not limited to who shows up for you in one season.
Love begins with God.
The Word tells us plainly, “God is love” (1 John 4:8).
Not that God has love.
Not that God shows love occasionally.
God is love.
And when love is rooted in God, it becomes stable, healing, and restoring—not conditional or fragile.
Some of us learned love through disappointment.
Some of us learned love through survival.
Some of us learned love by enduring what we should have never had to endure.
And because of that, many people are walking around with distorted definitions of love—confusing love with tolerance, silence, overgiving, or self-erasure.
But God is correcting that today.
Love does not ask you to lose yourself.
Love does not require you to shrink.
Love does not ask you to stay wounded just to keep peace.
Real love restores your soul.
David declared in Psalm 23:3, “He restores my soul.”
That restoration is not surface-level. It is not cosmetic. It reaches into the places you buried, the places you adapted around, and the places you learned to function without healing.
Some of you have been functioning—but not restored.
Productive—but not whole.
Faithful—but tired.
And God is saying today, “Let Me love you properly.”
Love is not passive. Love is active.
Love does not just sit with you—it works on you.
That’s why 1 Corinthians 13 doesn’t describe love as a feeling. It describes love as action. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love endures. Love hopes. Love bears.
Love stays present while transformation happens.
Love does not rush your healing.
Love does not shame your process.
Love does not expose your wounds to embarrass you.
Love covers so healing can happen.
The Word reminds us in 1 Peter 4:8, “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins.”
Covering is not hiding.
Covering is protection.
God’s love protects you while He restores you.
Hear me clearly today.
You do not have to be fully healed to be worthy of love.
You do not have to be perfect to be embraced by God.
You do not have to have everything figured out to be held by Him.
You are loved right now.
Some of you are waiting to love yourself until you reach a certain place.
Until the pain eases.
Until the past stops whispering.
Until the tears stop coming.
But love is not a reward at the finish line.
Love is the strength that carries you through the race.
“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear” (1 John 4:18).
Fear has been driving too many decisions.
Fear has been shaping too many boundaries.
Fear has been influencing how you show up.
But love is reclaiming its place.
Love will correct you, but it will never discard you.
Love will confront you, but it will never condemn you.
Love will call you higher without shaming where you’ve been.
And today, God is asking you a question.
Will you let Me love you without resistance?
Some of us have learned how to serve God without receiving from Him.
We pour. We give. We show up.
But we flinch when it’s time to receive.
Yet love must be received to be fully experienced.
As an Apostle, my assignment is to remind you that walking in love is not weakness—it is authority. It is alignment. It is Kingdom order.
Love positions you correctly.
Love heals you deeply.
Love teaches you how to stand without hardening your heart.
So today, I speak this over you.
May the love of God restore your confidence.
May the love of God heal the places you stopped talking about.
May the love of God uproot every lie that told you you were too much or not enough.
May the love of God teach you how to love others without abandoning yourself.
You are not forgotten.
You are not overlooked.
You are not behind.
You are loved.
You are seen.
You are being restored.
And love is doing a deeper work than you can see.
