MANIFESTATION OF HIS GLORY NETWORK, INC. Wednesday’s Word Online Sanctuary
God Stores Our Tears
Apostle Dr. G. Denise Gray - Lead Apostle & General Overseer

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Welcome to Manifestation of His Glory Network, Inc. I am so grateful that you have joined me in our online sanctuary today.
I don't know what kind of week you've had. I don't know what happened before you opened this page. I don't know whether you came here smiling, celebrating, hurting, questioning, or simply trying to hold yourself together.
But God knows.
Listen to me clearly.
God knows!
He knows what you haven't told anybody.
He knows what you've been carrying.
He knows about the prayer you could barely get out of your mouth.
And yes, He knows about the tears.
Remember, we are an online sanctuary. I don't want to keep you all day. I want to give you something from the Word of God that you can carry with you when you leave this page. Something that will strengthen you on Wednesday. Something that will still be speaking to you when another Sunday comes around.
Just because we are online does not mean the presence of God is limited!
The same Holy Spirit who meets us in a physical sanctuary can meet you in your home. He can meet you at your desk. He can meet you in your car. He can meet you wherever you are right now!
My prayer remains the same.
That you log in one way and log out another!
Let's pray.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank You for this opportunity to gather around Your Word. Thank You for every person who has entered this online sanctuary today. You know every heart. You know every need. You know every question, and You know every tear. Father, quiet the noise around us and prepare our hearts to receive from You. Let Your Word reach the places we have not been able to explain. Bring healing, strength, understanding, and peace. Remind us today that nothing we have placed before You has been forgotten. Let us leave this moment stronger than we entered it.
In Jesus' name, Amen!
Now, let's get into the Word of God!
I want to take you to Psalm 56:8.
David says,
“Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?”Psalm 56:8, KJV
Follow me here.
David gives us an image of a God who is so intimately involved with His children that even their tears are not overlooked.
Think about that!
We wipe tears away.
God keeps record of them.
We may apologize for crying.
God pays attention to it.
People may tell you, “Get over it.”
God says, “I saw it.”
Oh my God!
People may never know how many nights you cried.
They may never know how many times you went into the bathroom, closed the door, pulled yourself together, wiped your face, and walked back out like everything was all right.
They saw you functioning.
God saw you crying.
They saw you show up.
God saw what it took for you to get there.
They saw your strength.
God saw the tears behind it.
Listen to me clearly.
Your tears were not wasted!
God stores our tears.
Not because He wants us to remain in the place that made us cry, but because what matters to us matters to Him.
You may have forgotten some of the tears you've cried, but God hasn't.
You may not remember every prayer you prayed through tears, but God does.
There were moments when you couldn't even put what you were feeling into words. All you could do was cry, and Heaven understood every tear.
This is good right here!
Romans 8:26 tells us that the Spirit helps our infirmities because there are times when “we know not what we should pray for as we ought.”
Have you ever been there?
You knew you needed to pray, but you didn't know what to say.
You opened your mouth, but nothing came out.
You got on your knees, but there were no words.
All you had were tears.
Listen to me clearly.
The absence of words did not mean the absence of prayer!
God knew exactly what your heart was saying.
And I need somebody reading this today to stop believing that because nobody saw your tears, nobody cared.
God saw them!
Second Kings 20:5 records God's words to Hezekiah:
“I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears.”
Follow me here.
God said, “I have heard.”
Then He said, “I have seen.”
He heard the prayer, and He saw the tears!
This is good right here!
That means your tears have never fallen outside the attention of God.
Not one.
And before we're finished today, I want to show you why that matters.
Because some of the tears you thought represented your weakest moments may have actually been watering something God was preparing to bring forth in your life.
God stores our tears!
This brings me to my first point today, men and women of God.
God sees the tears that nobody else sees.
There are some tears you cry in front of people, and there are some tears you make sure nobody ever sees.
Come on!
Those are the tears you wipe quickly because somebody walked into the room.
Those are the tears you cry in the shower because the water hides them.
Those are the tears that fall while everybody else in the house is asleep.
Those are the tears that come when you're driving and suddenly something hits your spirit.
Those are the tears that fall when you are praying for everybody else, but deep down inside, you need somebody to pray for you.
Listen to me closely.
Hidden from people does not mean hidden from God!
Stay with me here.
Because God doesn't just see your tears. God remembers your tears.
Psalm 56:8 says, “Put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?”
David understood something powerful. What fell from his eyes was not forgotten in Heaven.
Think about that!
There are things you have forgotten that you cried about.
There are seasons you survived that you don't even talk about anymore.
There are prayers you prayed years ago that you may not remember word for word.
But God remembers!
He remembers the tears you cried while you were waiting.
He remembers the tears you cried while you were grieving.
He remembers the tears you cried while you were interceding for your children, your family, your marriage, your ministry, and your future.
He remembers the tears you cried when you had to obey Him and obedience hurt.
I know I am speaking to somebody today in the online sanctuary!
God storing your tears tells me that your pain was never insignificant to Him.
People may forget what you went through.
People may forget what they did.
People may even expect you to forget because enough time has passed.
But listen to me closely.
God remembering your tears does not mean He wants you to remain attached to your pain.
It means you don't have to carry the responsibility of making sure your pain is remembered. God already saw it. God already knows it. God already has the record.
So you can heal.
You can release it.
You can move forward.
You can stop revisiting the place where you cried just to prove that what happened to you mattered.
It mattered to God!
Stay with me here because I want to take this a little deeper.
We have established that God sees your tears, and we know that God remembers your tears. But what if I told you that your tears can also become seed?
Psalm 126:5–6 says,
“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
Oh that's good to me!
The Scripture does not say they might reap.
It says they shall reap in joy!
That means there are tears you cried in one season that God can use to produce something in another season.
A seed disappears before you ever see what it is producing.
You put it into the ground, cover it up, and for a while, it looks like nothing is happening.
Isn't that how some seasons of our lives feel?
You prayed, but you didn't see anything.
You cried, but nothing seemed to change.
You obeyed God, but the situation still looked the same.
You kept believing, but you couldn't see any evidence that what you were doing was making a difference.
Listen to me closely.
Just because you cannot see what God is doing does not mean God is not doing anything!
Something can be growing beneath the surface.
Something can be developing where your natural eyes cannot see it.
Something can be taking root while you're asking God, “How much longer?”
Men and women of God, some of you have mistaken the absence of evidence for the absence of God.
But He was there!
He was there when you cried.
He was there when you prayed.
He was there when you kept showing up.
He was there when you had to encourage yourself.
He was there when you wanted to quit but somehow found enough strength to keep going.
And He was there when nobody else knew how much it cost you to survive that season.
I know I am speaking to somebody today!
Your tears were watering something.
Your tears were not proof that God had abandoned you.
Your tears were not proof that you had lost your faith.
Sometimes tears are what faith looks like when you're hurting but you still trust God.
Let’s talk about this!
You can cry and still believe.
You can hurt and still worship.
You can grieve and still trust Him.
You can have questions and still know that God is faithful.
Don't let anybody make you feel as though your tears mean you are weak.
Jesus wept.
John 11:35 gives us two words that reveal something powerful about our Savior:
“Jesus wept.”
If Jesus could weep, why are we ashamed when we do?
Tears are not always a sign of weakness.
Sometimes tears are evidence that you have carried something as far as human strength could carry it, and now you are placing it before God.
Listen.
You do not have to pretend to be strong in the presence of the One who already knows where you hurt.
You can cry there.
You can be honest there.
You can tell Him, “Father, this hurts.”
You can tell Him, “Father, I don't understand.”
You can tell Him, “Father, I need You.”
And the God who stores your tears will meet you there.
But Psalm 126 doesn't leave us crying!
No He does Not!
It says, “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.”
The tears are not the end of the Scripture.
Joy is!
The weeping is not the end of your story.
The pain is not the end of your story.
The disappointment is not the end of your story.
There is still a harvest!
There is still joy!
There is still restoration!
There is still something on the other side of what made you cry!
So don't throw away your expectation because this season has been painful.
Don't stop believing because you've had to cry your way through it.
Don't decide that God has forgotten you because you haven't seen the harvest yet.
The same God who saw you sow in tears is the God who promised that you shall reap in joy!
Because before we finish, I need to talk to the person who has been crying so long that you've started wondering if the tears will ever stop.
I need you to hear what the Word of God says about that.
Psalm 30:5 declares,
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
The Scripture never said the night would not come.
It never said you would never cry.
It never said there would not be seasons that hurt.
It said the night has a limit!
Weeping may endure for a night, but joy is coming!
Somebody say, “It’s coming!”
Your tears have a season, but they do not have permission to become your permanent address.
You may have cried there, but you don't have to live there.
You may have been wounded there, but you don't have to stay there.
You may have experienced loss there, but God is still able to lead you forward.
Look at this.
Revelation 21:4 gives us an even greater promise:
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.”
Think about that.
The God who sees the tears.
The God who remembers the tears.
The God who stores the tears.
The God who allows us to sow through tears.
Is also the God who wipes the tears away!
Men and women of God, there is coming a day when everything that made you cry will lose its ability to hurt you.
But until that day, I need you to know that God has not abandoned you in the middle of your tears.
He is with you.
He is healing you.
He is strengthening you.
He is restoring you.
And He is carrying you through.
I know I am speaking to somebody in this online today!
You thought nobody knew.
God knew.
You thought nobody saw.
God saw.
You thought nobody remembered.
God remembered.
You thought the tears were wasted.
God stored them.
You thought nothing was happening.
God was working!
You are not leaving this online sanctuary carrying your tears the same way you brought them in.
You may remember what happened, but you don't have to remain bound to what happened.
You may remember who hurt you, but you don't have to continue giving them authority over your healing.
You may remember the season that broke your heart, but that season does not get to write the rest of your story.
God is still writing!
God is still healing.
God is still restoring.
God is still redeeming.
And the tears that fell from your eyes were never outside of His care.
So take heart today.
What you thought was breaking you is not the end of your story.
What made you cry does not have the final word.
What you lost does not have the final word.
What they did does not have the final word.
God has the final word!
And if you remember nothing else from this message, remember this:
God stores our tears!
He saw every one.
He understood every one.
He cared about every one.
And He has not forgotten you.
Before we leave this online sanctuary, I never want to assume that everyone reading knows Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Maybe you found this message because you're hurting.
Maybe you've been searching for answers.
Maybe you know about Jesus, but you've never surrendered your life to Him.
Or maybe you once walked closely with God, but somewhere along the way, you drifted.
You can come home.
Jesus loves you.
Romans 10:9 tells us,
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
You don't have to fix everything before you come to Him.
You don't have to clean yourself up first.
You don't have to have all the answers.
Come to Him as you are.
If you're ready to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, pray with me.
Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to You just as I am. I acknowledge that I need You. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and that You raised Him from the dead. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse my heart and make me new. Jesus, I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Teach me to follow You, strengthen me to live according to Your Word, and lead me from this day forward. Thank You for loving me. Thank You for forgiving me. Thank You for saving me.
In Jesus' name, Amen!
If you prayed that prayer and meant it from your heart, welcome to the family of God!
This is not the end. This is the beginning.
Get into the Word of God. Pray. Find a Bible believing church where you can grow, be taught, and become connected to other believers.
And know that we are rejoicing with you right here at Manifestation of His Glory Network, Inc.!
Before you go, let me seal this pray over your life.
Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for every man and woman who entered this online sanctuary today. I thank You for every tear they have cried, including the tears nobody else ever saw. Thank You for reminding us through Your Word that You see, You hear, You remember, and You care.
Father, touch the brokenhearted today. Strengthen those who are weary. Comfort those who are grieving. Restore those who have experienced loss. Give hope to the person who has been wondering how much longer they can endure.
Turn mourning into dancing. Turn heaviness into praise. Turn sorrow into joy.
And Father, for the person who is still waiting for their morning, give them strength for the night. Remind them that the night will not last forever.
Let them leave this online sanctuary knowing that they are seen, they are heard, and they are held by You.
We thank You for healing.
We thank You for restoration.
We thank You for joy.
And we thank You because not one tear has been wasted.
In Jesus' name, Amen!
I want to give you an opportunity to worship the Lord through your giving.

Men and women of God, thank you for joining me in the online sanctuary today.
Take this Word with you.
When another tear falls, remember that God sees it.
When you don't have the words to pray, remember that God understands your heart.
When you wonder whether anything is changing, remember that seeds grow beneath the surface before the harvest ever becomes visible.
And when the night feels long, remember that joy is coming!
My prayer remains the same. That you logged in one way, and you are logging out another!
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He strengthen you, encourage you, heal you, and remind you throughout this week that you are never outside of His care.
Until we meet again in the online sanctuary, walk in faith, walk in expectation, and keep trusting God.
And remember:
God stores our tears!
God bless you!
Enjoy the rest of your Word Wednesday!
